Today has been a strange day. Not at all like what I had planned. Just one of those “not feeling like myself” days, I guess. Or was it a “feeling too much like myself” kind of day? I’m not really sure.
Here are a few highlights :
- Being more excited about NBA basketball than I have in quite a while; Looking forward to the Warriors/Mavericks Playoff game tomorrow (Warriors will prevail)
- Remembering how much I like chinese food (beef chow fun in particular) and excitedly ordering some
- Being horribly disappointed by the bad chinese food (especially the beef chow fun)
- Wondering why an image search for beef chow fun returned the following as one of the results :
- Experiencing a wonderfully painful headache ; Can’t remember one this bad in a while
- Taking an unbelievably un-satisfying nap at 5pm in the afternoon
- Enjoying 3/4 of a bar of Dove Dark Chocolate
- Watching Stranger Than Fiction, and loving it
- Realizing that I need to start stalking Maggie Gyllenhaal, cause I like her
- Having a renewed interest in learning how to play my guitar, and in wearing watches ; Both of these things are because of Harold Crick
- Wondering if I’m actually happy and if I should be doing something different with my life ; also brought on by Harold Crick
- Going out for a fantastically refreshing 2 hour jog/walk at 1am on Sunday morning
- Having the absurd urge to use absolutely unnecessarily delicious adjectives

My most recent Netflix rentals (which you can always find by looking here) were :

Rating : 4/5
The movie was pretty good. I love the whole animated looking, but based on real people concept. The movie is based on a book by Philip K Dick, who has been deceased since 1982. That fool can write a good story. He is also responsible for the stories that the following movies were based on : Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report and Paycheck. I’m sure the book is a helluva lot better than the movie. And even though Keanu “please shoot me in the head” Reeves is one of the main characters, it’s still a good movie. Why? Because the animated character doesn’t look nearly as bad acting as he does. If you can stand his voice, and his inflection, you should watch the movie. Plus that hottie, Winona “I’d like to” Ryder, is in the movie. And you can see her animated characters boobs. WooWee!

Rating : 4/5
Mark Wahlberg turns in another good performance. And he’s looking yoked as ever. Good football move, though there coulda been more football scenes. And most movies based on real life people turn out good, cause some idiot doesn’t have to make up shit.

Rating : 3/5
Stallone can still play the character well, but the story line SUCKED! And he looked all un-coordinated and flabby and overly veiny. And I don’t want to see Rocky go out like that. They should have left it alone. Or start a new series with a different character and a different actor. Also the bad guy, wasn’t really a bad guy. The bad guys were the managers of the other fighter, and they never got their ass kicked. Whats up with that? Thanks for fucking up the Rocky franchise. Now I doubt I’ll buy the series package, cause I know this abomination will come with it.
Finally :
And being a stock holder in Netflix, I figure writing about them regularly provides extra publicity, which should help sign up more people, which helps them profit, which in turn should help me profit. Right? So we’ll see if this extra publicity is worth the time I’m wasting, and the carpel tunnel syndrome I’m getting.
Current NFLX price : $24.20
