Forgot to mention that I got the chance to watch Metal Skool perform at the Body English club in the Hard Rock hotel. Metal Skool is described as a glam metal parody band. For me they were 4 guys dressed in some of the gayest 80’s rock metal clothing, rockin hard, and makin people laugh. It was great to hear some of the best 80’s metal songs again. I had a great time.

Apparently they’re a staple at the key club on the Sunset strip. So I can go watch them whenever I want. If you like 80’s metal, and don’t get offended when people draw analogies between the song Pour Some Sugar on Me, and ejaculating all over a woman’s face, then you too will love the show.

Also there were some super whore-ish hotties dancing around for our viewing pleasure.

I just flew back from vegas last night, and boy are my testicles tired. And I also have a bit of a headache from all the drinking. I should really drink more regularly so I can build up a tolerance. And I should try to lose more money regularly so I build up a tolerance for that too. Ahhh, life lessons taught by Vegas.

Highlights :

Stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for the first time. It’s a nice hotel, with great decor all over. It’s off the strip, but it has a fantastic pool area. And lots of hot women tend to flock to that pool. Especially on Rehab, Sundays at the pool. It’s enough to make you wanna blow your own brains out.

Lost more money gambling than on any previous trip. Most of it at the blackjack table. I think unwise decisions due to the influence of alcohol probably had a lot to do with it. But I learned how to play craps, and I like it. It’s not as hard as I previously thought. I only know the basic bets. And I had a few good rolls. Now I just need to figure out when to walk away while I’m up. Which I was. A Lot.

And you’ll probably think I’m stupid, but I realized on this trip that if you play video poker at the bar, all your drinks are comped. And I will definitely be doing that more often.

Had 2 new drinks I had never had before. Both of which I like. A Lot.

• Greyhound : Vodka + grapefruit juice
• Bloody Mary : Vodka + tomato juice + other crap

I found out that a $500/hour hooker doesn’t necessarily look as good as you’d expect. And the most innocent looking girl at a casino who you try to chat up, can end up being a hooker. Thankfully I drank so much and lost so much money on gambling that my that I decided not to partake in the art of paid pleasure.

I had the fortunate luck of enjoying dinner at The Grill at Valentino. The food was very good. I think my order was called chicken paillard with jalapeno crust, or something like that. It was yummay.

I think that’s about it. Oh wait, I was in vegas for training and a conference. And that was good too, considering it took up about 8 hours of each day. Most our conference meals were at Simon restaurant at the Hard Rock. Very good food. Also the open bar was great. WooHoo!

Yes, I am in vegas. And there are plenty of hot pink centers around. woo-fuckin-hoo! The hard rock hotel is just over flowing with what could be described as whores and sluts. I know thats insensitive, but I can’t help it. And I like it.

Anyways, today for lunch I was at Outback steakhouse cause I had a hankering for some meat (this is where you make jokes about the thunder down under). And as usual I ordered my steak medium rare. And in all honesty I don’t think any steak I’ve ever eaten has really been medium rare. They always overcook it and it ends up with very little pink on the inside. But these mother fuckers at the outback here in vegas, made me feel like a pansy cause I sent my steak back to have it cooked some more after I cut it open and found it practically raw. Only the outside was seared, and the middle was barely warm. Some parts even felt cold.

Next time I’ll just ask for medium when I’m around here.

I am currently watching the 8th place Warriors wipe the floor with the 1st place Mavericks in Game 6 (I called it before the series) on their way to the second round of the NBA playoffs.

There’s 2:58 left in the 4th quarter, and the Warriors are up 104-80. I’m super super super happy! I haven’t been this excited since the Kings of a few years ago. Those were the kings that pushed the Jazz and Lakers to the limit in the playoffs quite a few times. Those Kings existed to irritate and confuse and worry Shaq, Kobe and Karl Malone. They served us well.

The difference between those Kings and these Warriors? This Warrior team can play some defense. They scramble, they disrupt, they smother, and are fuckin fast. This Warrior team has gone from a couple of big time scorers and a few hopefuls, a couple of years ago, to a relatively solid, and exciting with an amazing coach (Don Nelson) this year. Thank you Chris Mullin for bringing back Nelly.

The game has just ended, 111-86. Mmmmm…. can you smellllllllllll, what the NELSON is cookin!

Also I wasn’t too fond of the Pacer trade at first since they got rid of Troy Murphy, who I love to watch play. But I guess it’s good I’m not callin the shots. Cause it turned out to be a fantastic move. Stephen Jackson is a fuckin pimp. Ugly, but a fuckin pimp.

And speaking of ugly, Baron Davis has been fantastic. I had no idea he was so good. He is clutch. He plays fearlessly. And he carried this team on his ugly beard.

Also Jason Richardson did quite well during the series, especially his posterizing moments. If he couldn’t fly like a maniac, he would be no fun. And I think my new favorite scraper-ish player is Matt Barnes. I love to watch players who throw their body into the game. And I am growing quite fond of his left handed, out of no-where dunks in traffic.

The first thing that came to my mind as the Warriors crossed the 100 point mark on Jason Richardson’s 3 pointer was free food or drink. Why? Cause every Warrior game I’ve been to where the Warriors break 100 points, the fans have received coupons for free food or drinks. A lot of the Warriors games, thats the best thing you could hope for. Cause they used to suck. A lot.

No more. Not sure what’s gonna happen in round 2 against either #4 Utah or #5 Rockets, but even if they get swept, I think it’s been a great season. For the first time in a long time the Warriors are more than just hype. And for the first time in a long time, good players might actually want to stay on the Warriors rather than get traded to a contender.

They just destroyed the best team in the NBA. Congratulations to the Warriors. Just go easy on post game celebrations. Can’t wait for round 2. I would gladly fly up to watch a warriors game in person, but I’ll be out of town all of next week. So I’ll just watch them during the Western Conference Finals.
